In the T20 World Cup, Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 5 wickets after a nerve-wracking battle to gain two valuable points as well as hopes of reaching the semi-finals.

Pakistani bowlers, including Harris Rauf, prevented the New Zealand batsmen from scoring thanks to the brilliant performance and the Kiwis were able to score 134 for 8 in the allotted overs.

Harris Rauf took four wickets for 22 runs.

Pakistan, who easily defeated India by 10 wickets in the first match, lost 4 wickets for 69 runs in pursuit of the target, while Emad Wasim was out, Pakistan needed 48 more runs to win.

But on this occasion, Asif Ali and Shoaib Malik batted aggressively and gave Pakistan the target 8 balls ahead.

On Pakistan’s victory, former cricketers, politicians and fans on social networking site Twitter congratulated Pakistan on its excellent performance.
