
Zalmi defeated Multan Sultans by 6 wickets after an interesting contest to win the event for the first time.
In the match played at the National Stadium in Karachi, Peshawar Zalmi achieved the target of 194 runs given by Multan Sultans by 4 wickets. This is Zalmai’s first victory in the event while the Sultans have lost for the second match in a row.
Kohler played a key role in Zalmi victory, paving the way for the team to win with an electrifying 53-run innings, while Haider Ali scored 25 off just eight balls, including two sixes and two fours.
In pursuit of the target, Peshawar Zalmi started their innings confidently. Openers Kamran Akmal and Imam-ul-Haq formed an initial partnership of 57 runs. Kamran Akmal scored 37 runs with the help of two sixes and five fours and was LBWed by Usman Qadir.
Imam-ul-Haq, who was on the crease, continued to score with newcomer Tom Cadmore. He scored 48 runs with the help of five fours and was run out by Carlos Braithwaite. Kohler and Imam-ul-Haq shared 77 runs.
