Pakistan beat Newzealand by four wickets in 3rd T20

In the third and final match of the T20 series against New Zealand, Pakistan defeated New Zealand by four wickets. However, the New Zealand team managed to make its name from the series 2-1

In the last match of the three-match T20 series, Pakistan captain Shadab Khan won the toss and invited New Zealand to bat first.

New Zealand openers Martin Guptill and Tim Seifert gave a good start. New Zealand’s first wicket fell at 40 in the fifth over when Martin Guptill hit 19 off 16 balls with the help of a six and two fours before being hit by Harris Rauf.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson then came to play, but he was bowled by Faheem Ashraf for a total of 45 in the next over. He added just one run to the total.

Devon Conway came on the field on the captain’s return to the pavilion. He was also New Zealand’s most successful batsman in the match. He added 63 runs to the total. He faced 45 balls while hitting a six and four fours during the innings.

New Zealand’s third wicket fell to a total of 58 in the eighth over when Faheem Ashraf bowled opening batsman Tim Seifert. He scored 35 off 20 balls.

Glenn Phillips then took to the field to accompany Devon Conway. Both batsmen reached 109 in the 14th over. However, on the first ball of the 15th over, Glenn Phillips scored 31 off 20 balls and became the target of Shaheen Shah Afridi.

New Zealand’s fifth out was James Nasheem. He was also caught by Iftikhar Ahmed on the ball of Faheem Ashraf. He scored only 2 runs.

In the 19th over of the innings, Scott Goglin returned to the pavilion with a total score of 159 for 14. He was also dismissed by Shaheen Shah Afridi.

The hosts’ seventh wicket fell to 169 in the last over when Devon Conway was dismissed.

New Zealand scored 173 for seven in the allotted 20 overs while Pakistan had a target of 174 for victory.

For Pakistan, Faheem Ashraf took three wickets, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf took two wickets each.

Pakistan achieved the target set by the host team at a loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. It was the first match of the series that Pakistan won.

Muhammad Rizwan and Haider Ali came to start the innings for Pakistan. Both players had taken Pakistan’s score to 40 by the sixth over. However, on a total score of 40, Haider Ali was dismissed for 11 runs.

After that Muhammad Hafeez came to bat. He along with Mohammad Rizwan played a role in bringing Pakistan to a stable position. In the 14th over, Mohammad Hafeez was dismissed for 41 . He faced 29 balls and also hit 3 sixes and two fours.

After that Khushdal Shah came in the field. Khushdal Shah returned to the pavilion in the 17th over with a total score of 163 for 13. Faheem Ashraf was also dismissed for just two runs. The five players who got out were captain Shadab Khan who got out on the first ball.

Pakistan’s sixth wicket fell to 171 in the 20th over when opening batsman Mohammad Rizwan returned to the pavilion for 89 runs.

He faced 59 balls. He also hit 3 sixes and 10 fours during the innings. He was also named Player of the Match for this innings.

It should be noted that Shadab Khan was made the captain of the team due to Babar Azam’s injury.

A two-match Test series between Pakistan and New Zealand is set to begin this weekend. The first match will be played on December 26 and the second on January 3.
