Pakistani players are being accused of violating Covid-19 protocol after six members of the visiting Pakistani cricket team tested positive for corona.

A Pakistan Cricket Board spokesman told the bboard would not comment formally. He said that all the rules and regulations set during the tour fall under the purview of the New Zealand government, so a formal statement will be issued by the New Zealand government which will be forwarded by the New Zealand Cricket Board.
However, during an informal conversation with the cricket board officials, came to know about the facts about the alleged violation of protocol by the players.
It is learned that two incidents of violation of code protocol by Pakistani cricketers came to light during the first 12 hours of the team’s arrival in New Zealand.

In the first case, the players violated protocol when they were served food at a New Zealand hotel. Many players did not wear face masks when they received the food tray.
The second incident occurred when some players opened the doors of their rooms in the hotel and started talking to each other which was recorded by the camera.

It is also learned that representatives of the New Zealand Cricket Board and the New Zealand government formally contacted Wasim Khan, Chief Executive of the Pakistan Cricket Board, on Thursday morning at 5pm Pakistan time and gave details on this sensitive issue.
