Pakistan to play first Odi match vs Zimbabwe on 30th October

The Zimbabwe cricket team arrived in Pakistan on Tuesday morning for a three-match ODI and three-match T20 series.

Zimbabwe’s 32-member squad has reached Islamabad where the players will be tested at the hotel while all the players will complete the seven-day isolation period there.

The first ODI series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will be played and all three matches will be hosted by the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The two teams will face each other in the first ODI on October 30, while the second match will be played on November 1 and the third on November 3.

T20 matches between Zimbabwe and Pakistan will be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on November 7, 8 and 10.

Pakistan cricket team head coach and chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq on Monday announced a 22-member squad for the series against Zimbabwe.

Fast bowler Mohammad Amir failed to make the team for the series against Zimbabwe while the selectors have appointed Shadab Khan as the vice-captain for the tour.

Shadab Khan has said in a tweet that it is an honor for him to play as the vice-captain in the ODI and T20 series for Pakistan and it was his long dream.

According to chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq, Shoaib Malik has been dropped to feature young batsmen Abdullah Shafiq, Haider Ali and Khush Dil Shah in the T20 matches.

According to him, Hassan Ali and Naseem Shah have been directed to play the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy to prove their standard of fitness while former captain Sarfraz Ahmed has also been asked to play the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy so that he can be available for selection for the tour of New Zealand. ۔
